April 11, 2014 (OTTAWA) – Today we honour a caring community supporter and a great Canadian, and extend our deepest condolences to his family. Like so many others, Canadian Blood Services mourns the sudden passing of former Finance Minister Jim Flaherty. Among his many important accomplishments was his contribution to and long-term support of the blood system, particularly in the Ontario communities of Whitby and Oshawa.
