Celebrating 25 years, thanks to your support

Canadian Blood Services is proudly marking 25 years since being founded in 1998 to manage the national blood system (outside of Quebec). Throughout our history, we have worked hard to earn the trust of Canadians and to deliver safe and reliable lifesaving products and services to patients across the country. But we don’t do this important work alone.  

This milestone simply wouldn’t be possible without the generosity and dedication of the hundreds of thousands of donors and volunteers who give alongside fellow Partners for Life members. Whether you’re a new partner, have been donating since Canadian Blood Services’ earliest years, or somewhere in between, we are so grateful to have you by our side and a part of our history in serving patients.  

Because of donations — of all kinds — from partners like you, we can make lifesaving connections between donors and patients, healthcare professionals and medical researchers possible. Your continued generosity today is as essential as the day we were founded because, as you know, the need is constant. Blood and plasma are needed daily and thousands of patients across the country need stem cell and organ and tissue transplants.  

Knowing that throughout our history, partners like you have always answered the call to give in periods of great need, we know that you will help continue to ensure blood and blood products are there for all those who require them.
