We recruit and collect blood, plasma and platelet donations at over 13,000 donation events every year. We have 35 permanent donor centres and over 4000 mobile donor centres across Canada.

Planning for your donation

On the day of your donation, make sure you are hydrated, feeling well, and had a good night’s sleep. Remember to bring a valid ID, your donor card (if you have donated before) and any prescription medication you are currently taking.

Appointments only, please

  • Appointments also allow people to complete the pre-screening questionnaire before they arrive at a donor centre and self-defer if necessary in keeping with health and safety recommendations.
  • We ask all eligible donors to book their appointment at blood.ca, on the GiveBlood app, or by calling 1 888 2 DONATE.
